Clerk certifies recall petition; council sets November 3 recall election for District 3

During public comment Candy Poole and other speakers defended Council Member Thomas and urged deliberation; Poole said a petition of this nature risks division. "In my opinion, a petition like this causes division," a public commenter said. Council then voted to adopt a resolution calling a single‑district recall election for November 3, 2026; early voting was set for Oct. 19–30. Council clarified the council member will remain in office until election results are certified. The resolution passed 6‑1.
