Council voted unanimously to award a sewer rehabilitation contract for the Stonewall-to-Beverly corridor after Public Works staff described repeated backups and cracks in the 8-inch main.
"No Dig Tech LLC was awarded this ... Street sewer rehabilitation program for the amount of $224,946," Public Works speaker Chris said, adding the contractor will "pipe burst through there and replace 500 linear feet of pipe and they will rehab 4 manholes." Council members asked clarifying questions about the precise location and right-of-way constraints; staff explained sewer alignments can run behind residences and not directly under the roadway.
A motion to approve the resolution carried unanimously. Staff said the work responds to repeated citizen calls about backups and is intended to address imminent failures rather than to regrade or relocate the pipe at this time.
