Aaron Rengers updated council on street-improvement work tied to systemic funding: Jutte Excavating is currently installing sidewalks on SR49 and will replace a corner ramp at Sharpsburg and SR49 that was run over by a semi. Rengers said the village is preparing bid documents and advertising to install 34 additional lights as part of the project.
Rengers also thanked Jim Cooper and his family for donating a new downtown digital sign; he said the old sign posts will be removed, that Anna Post, Jennifer Schoonover and Connor Rammel have access to update the sign, and that Cooper purchased a five-year cellular data plan for it. No new budget approvals for lighting or sign maintenance were made at the meeting.
