County approves surface-use agreement with S and J Operating Company for tank battery site

County engineering staff presented a surface-use agreement between the Board of County Commissioners and S and J Operating Company for a tank battery and associated flow lines on county property at 1901 East Grand Boulevard.
Engineering said the agreement reduced the tank-battery footprint and removed several easements from the county property while preserving two major north–south flow-line easements. "We were able to shrink the footprint of the tank battery in this agreement. We're able to get rid of a handful of the easements and take them off the property," the engineering presenter said. Board members voted to approve the agreement on a motion and voice vote.
The presenter thanked the district attorney's office for assistance negotiating the agreement and said the county had spent months working on the document. The board approved the motion without recorded opposition.
