The Knoxville City Council approved its consent agenda on Aug. 3, 2026, by motion of Council Member Dawn Rankin, seconded by Chris Nichols. The consent agenda included approval of the July 20, 2026 council meeting minutes, acceptance of the July 11 Airport Commission minutes and issuance of a Special Class C Retail Alcohol License for Cobblestone Hotel & Suites.
The minutes record no public comments at the start of the meeting. The consent motion was recorded in the minutes as having passed “all ayes.” The council then moved on to separate motions for a project resolution, an ordinance action and payment of claims later in the meeting.
