Swan Valley board approves handbooks, two equipment purchases and several policies

The Swan Valley Board approved the Shields Elementary and Havens Elementary handbooks for the 2025-26 school year. The board also authorized the purchase and installation of a DEF tank from Kelly Maintenance for $14,617 and the purchase of a lawn mower from Hoffman’s Power Equipment Inc. for $14,638. Both purchase motions passed unanimously.
In addition, the board approved several board policies: #8750 (Student Volunteers); #8890 & 8890R (Pregnant Students); #8895 & 8895R (Married Students); #8920 & 8920R (Foreign Exchange Students); and #8990 & 8990R (Student Fees, Fines, Charges and Deposits). Each policy motion was recorded as passed 7-0.
