The Montabella Board of Education approved a slate of personnel recommendations at its June 16 meeting, including teacher hires and one administrative appointment.
Per the minutes, approved instructional hires include Christopher Boggs (high-school band teacher), Maria Briggs (elementary teacher), Tara Doolittle (high-school English), Jessica Kolenda (Spanish), Dawn Kroll (middle-school special education), Matthew Mudget (exploratory teacher) and Summer Smith (middle-school English). The board also approved the appointment of Adam Urbanawiz as Jr./Sr. High assistant principal at a salary of $76,000. The minutes record the motion: "Motion to approve the personnel recommendations as presented in your packet." The motion was made by Erica Vincent, seconded by Steve Sweet, and recorded as passed with all six board members voting "Yea."
The consent agenda also recorded two resignations: Katie Reid (teacher) and Sage Matties (teacher). Those resignations were approved as part of the consent agenda, which the minutes show passed unanimously.
