Shannon Foll, president and CEO of the Fargo‑Moorhead‑West Fargo Chamber, and chamber staff asked the Clay County Board to continue an annual $100,000 investment in regional chamber programs. Foll said the county’s contribution is "not just an investment in the chamber. It truly is an investment in the regional partnerships and the competitiveness of our region," and noted the chamber seeks no increase this year but depends on the county’s continued support to leverage private partners.
Cale Dunwoody, the chamber’s VP of public policy, described legislative and civic‑engagement work—tracking roughly 130 bills and leaning into a 13‑priority set with a cited 62% success rate this session—and said convenings and outreach (including vote FMWF resources) expand the region’s voice at the state and federal level. Commissioners thanked the presenters and signaled support for the chamber request during the budget process.
