Board approves out-of-state, overnight and out-of-country student trips

Consent Item #2025-056 authorized an out-of-state field trip to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio for Parker Middle School band students on June 3, 2025; approval was also given for an overnight band lock-in for Howell High School (May 8–9, 2026) and an out-of-country trip to Japan (June 8–17, 2027) for Howell High School grades 9–12 as of June 2027. Separately, the board approved overnight travel for athletic summer camps in 2025 under action #2025-059.
All travel approvals were included on the consent agenda or approved by motion and recorded as carried by unanimous vote. Exhibits associated with each approval (Exhibits B, C, D, G, J) contain participant lists, itineraries and supervision plans referenced by the board.
