Commission approves invasive-species mitigation grant and side-by-side use agreement

The commission authorized signature on an Invasive Species Mitigation Grant Agreement that will fund a Preservation Officer to complete an archeology study before disturbing land and to prepare a report for UDAF. The board voted unanimously to approve the grant agreement.
Commissioners also authorized an agreement governing use of a side-by-side vehicle purchased in part with Conservation District funding. The agreement allows the vehicle to be used on lands within Conservation District boundaries and requires that landowners not be denied weed-spraying services when the required fee is paid. Both items were approved by unanimous motion during the work meeting.
