Trustees and student board members took time at the end of the Nov. 5 special meeting to publicly praise district administrators and staff after auditors reported a clean 2024'25 audit.
Trustee J. Seals said she was grateful for the clean audit and emphasized the board's focus on students: "it is all about the kids." Secretary K. Rooker offered "kudos to our team and the administration for doing what they do," and Vice President J. Nash said she was proud to represent a district that was being recognized at the state level.
Trustee Jasmine Calhoun and Trustee M. Thompson echoed appreciation for staff and the district's progress; student member Diya Ramakrishnan also expressed pride in the district. Treasurer R. A. Knapp and President C. Coleman joined in the acknowledgments. Trustee Seals used a lighthearted phrase to close her remarks, calling the district "Saginawsome," reflecting enthusiasm among board members.
Those remarks followed the auditors' presentation and the board's unanimous vote to receive and file the audit report. No public or union comments were made during the meeting's comment period.
