Student board members report band trip, state competitions and upcoming events

Student board members reported that the Heritage Band is at Disney, six swimmers will attend state competition, DECA is this weekend, World Language Week is next week, Mr. Heritage is March 19, and Robotics state competition runs March 21–22.
Student Board Member Madalin Yaw told the board that the Heritage Band is currently in Disney and that spring sports season officially began that day; she noted the Heritage varsity girls basketball team was playing in a regional game and said six members of the Heritage swim team will attend state competition this weekend. Madalin also said DECA competition is scheduled for the same weekend.
Student Board Member Sara Zacharek reported that World Language Week will run next week with Spanish, French and Latin activities. She said March 19 is Mr. Heritage, a student talent and fashion event, and that Robotics state competition is March 21–22, where the Hawkbots will compete. Sara added that four Heritage students on the Mid Michigan Alliance MGHSHL hockey team will compete in the state championship on Saturday.
