Steubenville council on July 28 authorized the city manager to sign a conveyance and cleanup agreement with the land bank for a vacant, heavily vegetated lot at 553 South Fourth Street so the land bank can include the parcel in plans for new home construction.
Law Director Costa Mastros described the proposed arrangement and told council the land bank would use the parcel for development. "They're going to use it as part of their developments to new home construction," Mastros said. Council voted to authorize the city manager to sign the agreement; the motion carried by unanimous roll call.
