The Albany Public School District board on April 9 unanimously adopted a Resolution Accepting Donations listing multiple community contributions to schools and extracurricular programs.
Member Sands introduced the resolution and the board voted in favor. Donors and amounts listed in the resolution include Albany Jaycees ($1,000 and $3,000 for prom and robotics), Albany Youth Basketball Association ($2,139.50 for a boys basketball charter bus), River of Life Lifting Challenge ($2,500 for weight room supplies), and a range of smaller donations supporting NHS, prom, robotics and athletics. The resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
The donations are recorded to designated purposes where specified; the board’s consent action formally accepts the funds and allows staff to allocate them consistent with donor intent.
