Superintendent Jamie Kraatz delivered the superintendent’s report, noting district facilities and community engagement items. Kraatz said a pool walkthrough for bidders is scheduled for Feb. 18 and that the date was moved because of expected bad weather. She also recounted a presentation to the Saginaw Board of Realtors where Schools of Choice, facilities, and corporate sponsorship opportunities were discussed and where she addressed misinformation about school funding.
Kraatz reported that the Jan. 29 STCS Job Fair drew forty candidates and that some have already joined the district. She additionally noted participation in recent civic events, her role judging a Forensic competition with 19 Heritage students, and that White Pine Middle School is working on the National Schools to Watch application (SEG 013–014).
