The Board conditionally employed Karen Crapo as a School Social Worker at Westdale Elementary effective in the second semester of the 2024–25 school year. The motion to employ Crapo was offered by Arik Smith, seconded by Jenean Coughlin, and passed unanimously; the appointment is conditional pending verification of required information and qualifications.
In a separate Human Resources item, the Board voted to expel Student A for a Level IV violation of the White Pine Middle School Student Code of Conduct for threats, violence, or vandalism to students, staff or property. The motion to expel was offered by Jenean Coughlin and seconded by David Booth. The minutes state the student may request reinstatement for the 2025–26 school year by petitioning the Superintendent Level Hearing Committee by the second week of July 2025.
