Board swears in trustees and honors District Teachers of the Year
Summary
Judge Marla Parker administered oaths to trustees Thomas J. Hull, Claudia T. Heinrich and David N. Turner. The board and staff recognized four District Teachers of the Year across early childhood, elementary, middle and high school categories.
At the Jan. 7, 2025 meeting Judge Marla Parker of the 47th District Court administered the oath of office to Thomas J. Hull (newly elected), Claudia T. Heinrich (re-elected) and David N. Turner (appointed). The swearing-in followed brief remarks by Judge Parker.
Assistant Superintendent Brad Paddock introduced and congratulated the district's Teachers of the Year: Early Childhood — Lara Ligerakis (Farmington Early Childhood Center); Elementary — Laura Orlowski (Beechview Elementary); Middle — Susan Kim (Power Middle School); High — Joseph Lazzarino (Farmington High School). The board, staff and community members recognized the honorees; no formal action was required for the recognitions.
