Fiscal Officer Heather Rockwell told the Council June 24 that a property tax-abolishment measure is unlikely to appear on the November 2026 general-election ballot and is more likely to be placed on the 2027 ballot, though the issue remains active.
Rockwell also reported she had contacted Jane Forest Redfern of the Athens Hocking Solid Waste District, who requested the Village determine whether Bateman's would participate in a Community Cleanup and asked for a Village designee for communications. The Council asked Rockwell to reach out to Ally Jago about Bateman's participation and to clarify what form of contact information Redfern needs.
