Clerk Bondell presented the August 2025 claims check register and explained a reporting timing issue that caused the claims list to show only three items on one printout. The council reviewed supporting materials and approved the claims register totaling $19,365.23 on a motion by Councilman Kyle Vennes, seconded by Councilwoman Michele Gray; the motion was recorded as Aye: 4.
On maintenance, Container Site Operator Mark Thielen and Mayor Thielen described persistent weed problems at the dump site, lagoon, well house and near the propane tanks. Councilman Jason Oberlander moved to rent a bobcat with a mower attachment to address the weeds; Councilman Kyle Vennes seconded and the motion carried (Aye: 4). Clerk Bondell also noted that the August financial report was reviewed and accepted by the council.
