Plevna pursues tourism and event grants as council affirms Jamboree return

Shanks said the Baker discussion considered a countywide application approach.
Shanks and Clerk Bondell discussed the town’s decision to hold the Jamboree again next summer and explored potential small grants that might reduce the town’s outlay. Shanks described a 'reimagine rural' program that requires attending three Zoom sessions and can provide up to $1,500 toward events. She also said she would contact her state Main Street contact to see if Plevna is eligible to join "Montana Main Street," which could unlock further funding for sidewalk or downtown projects.
