Clerk/Treasurer Ashley Martin told the council that several claim payments had arrived late in recent months and that many businesses accept online payments. She recommended shifting recurring and regular claims to online vendor portals or ACH where possible, using in-person payments in Baker for vendors that accept them, and taking Visa payments directly to Grasslands Federal Credit Union to avoid processing delays.
Councilwoman Promise Miller moved to transition as many payments as possible to online methods; Councilwoman Michelle Gray seconded. The council approved the motion Aye:4. Clerk Martin noted some payments may not be convertible to online methods, but the majority of recurring claims should be.
