Council to accept two $10,000 grants for Aurora animal services programs

The finance committee reported resolution 26-0457 to accept a $10,000 VCA Charities grant to fund a pack-walk pilot program and hire a professional trainer for adoptable animals at Aurora Animal Care and Control. Alderman Franco said, "This money will go towards a professional trainer to help out with that program."
He also read resolution 26-0464 to accept a $10,000 ASPCA Rescue Effect Campaign grant for animal care and control. Both grants were placed on the consent agenda for council approval.
