At its Sept. 16 meeting the Robertson County Commission approved several budgetary resolutions to fund equipment purchases, facility repairs and other needs.
The board approved a resolution to buy a new tractor for the solid-waste department (procured through state purchasing) at approximately $7,104 and noted the department maintains a vehicle-fund reserve. Commissioners also approved a $55,000 supplemental allocation to repair windows and surrounding materials at the Ag Building after additional damage was discovered during roof work; the chair said the extra funds were necessary "to keep this thing from falling to the ground." The commission suspended rules on the Ag Building item to meet bid timelines and then approved it by roll-call.
Separately, commissioners authorized $33,269 to cover the difference between insurance proceeds ($58,683) and replacement costs after two sheriff's department cars were totaled; commission discussion noted other agencies' insurance dealings would be handled between insurers. The board also approved a small overtime payment ($574) for the drug recovery court. Each resolution was moved, seconded and approved by recorded vote.
