Veterans Service director says office helped bring $52 million in VA benefits to Robertson County

Scott told commissioners that the office has two accredited veteran service officers and "a little over 2,000 veterans that we, are currently active with in this county." He said the office helped bring about "$52,000,000 that our office helped bring into Robertson County, and that's in 1 year," referring to disability compensation and pension benefits. He described routine services—filing claims, making home visits, and offering a hybrid work schedule—and encouraged people to contact the office for assistance.
Commissioners thanked the office and noted the county website and social-media pages for contact information. The director said he and staff will continue outreach, including after-hours home visits where needed.
