Alexandria school board approves consent agenda including hires, donations and multiple policy adoptions

Motion by Alan Zeithamer, seconded by Laura Knudsen, "to approve the Consent Agenda as follows:" and the board recorded Ayes 6, Nays 0. The consent package ratified the district's September 2025 claims, approved minutes from the Sept. 22 meeting, and listed several staffing actions across instructional, transportation and community education programs.
Personnel items in the record include new hires such as Rebecca Worner (ABE teacher, date of hire 9/24/25) and Paraprofessional hires including Sarai Botello-Becerra (ABE, 9/24/25) and Dayane Escobar Teixeira (DMS, 10/1/25). The agenda also documents multiple resignations and retirements in transportation, custodial, food service and coaching positions with effective dates noted in the minutes.
The board accepted a resolution to receive donations and grants. The record lists $2,000 from the Alexandria Softball Boosters to the softball team and $5,000 from the DECA Foundation to support the DECA program.
