Board establishes absentee ballot board, appoints election judges for Nov. 4 special election

The Alexandria Public Schools board adopted a revised resolution on Aug. 18, 2025, establishing an absentee ballot board to process and determine acceptance of absentee ballots for district elections, as required by Minnesota Statutes Section 203B.121. The resolution authorizes the clerk or the clerk's designee to appoint trained election judges and to maintain a roster of ballot board members.
The board also appointed specific election judges for the Nov. 4, 2025 special election: Maggie Timm, Wendy Fridgen, Rose Krick, Tami Carillo and Lori Donovan. The resolution designates staff of the Douglas County Auditor/Treasurer’s Office to serve for UOCAVA ballot handling. The motion passed 5–0.
