Paul Durbahn, the district’s Executive Director of Finance, Operations and Safety, told the Albert Lea Public School District board that enrollment is projected to decline sharply over the next several years. The decline is concentrated at the elementary level and shows an uneven distribution across schools, Durbahn said. Directors noted the district will continue reviewing projections and evaluating strategies to respond if trends continue.
