At the June 23 meeting the planning commission took formal votes on two major land-use items and recorded motions forwarding recommendations to the hearings examiner.
- Dauntless Townhomes: Commissioner (speaker 2) moved that the commission recommend approval to the hearings examiner of the Dauntless Townhomes conditional use permit, site plan review and unit-lot subdivision (staff-read planning file), including the modified Condition P16 emphasizing drought-tolerant landscaping. The commission voted and the motion carried.
- Knoll Point PRD: Commissioner (speaker 2) moved that the commission recommend approval of the Knoll Point planned residential development and preliminary subdivision (planning file P09102501), subject to SEPA mitigations and corrected/modified conditions (P1, P38, P40); a second was recorded and the motion carried. Staff noted SEPA mitigation issuance and an upcoming hearings-examiner date for July 16.
Both recommendations are advisory: the hearings examiner will take the written record, staff recommendations and public comment into account in a subsequent decision. SEPA commentary and staff-corrected exhibits/conditions were explicitly tied to the Knoll Point motion in the meeting record.
