Senior center asks for $15,000 to fund sign and expanded programming

"This year, we're asking for 15,000. Last year, we got 13.05, and we'd like to bring that back up to 15 if we could," Mark Even said, describing recent improvements (bathrooms finished, shed re-shingling) and the center’s desire to install signage so residents can find and track programming.
Even said the center draws participants from surrounding communities and helps support local businesses that patrons frequent. Commissioners praised the improvements and did not dispute the request; staff noted the nonprofit funding decisions will be part of the 2027 budget process.
