Kremmling seeks $20,000 county match for GoCo parks grant; commissioners approve contingent support

Gabby Wilson, town parks and recreation coordinator for Kremmling, told commissioners the town’s GoCo grant application passed to the second round and requested $20,000 in Conservation Trust Funds (CTF) to provide a 10% local match. "Our project includes two parks — the Docsariani Community Park and Red Mountain Sports Complex — and we're requesting a 10% match toward a new parks and conservation improvement plan," Wilson said, listing priorities such as a new playground, year-round bathroom access at Red Mountain and restoring the ice rink.
Jen McPherson, Kremmling town manager, said the full project value is about $810,000–$850,000 with a GoCo ask of $700,000 and the town planning roughly an 18% total match including in-kind donations. Commissioners discussed dividing the county contribution, suggested a 5/5/5 split among themselves and voted to approve the county contribution contingent on the town securing the GoCo grant and upon final draft approval of paperwork.
