"Moved by Mrs. Seals and supported by Mrs. Nash, that Vera Harrison has received the highest score, and a motion to appoint her to be seated at the next official Board meeting," the motion record shows. A roll‑call vote carried 5–0; Treasurer R. A. Knapp was absent.
Board members divided 14 interview questions among themselves, allowing a 10‑minute break between candidate interviews to tally scores. During final comments Trustee Jasmine Calhoun welcomed Ms. Harrison to the board. President C. Coleman described the decision as difficult and said the recent weeks had been challenging for members.
The appointment will stand at the next official board meeting when Ms. Harrison is seated; the minutes do not record the term end date or other onboarding details.
