Council discusses fence permit, trailer house age limits, clean-up days and dump access

Cory and Ann Efta applied for a building permit to erect a fence. Mayor Gary Thielen told Cory that a six-foot fence shown on the permit is not allowed under town regulations and reminded him of setback rules; the council encouraged a property survey and asked Clerk Bondell to obtain and provide the town's fencing regulations to the Eftas.
Mayor Thielen also reported contact from Tom Winger about moving a rebuilt 1974-frame trailer house into town; council members cited differing recollections about the ordinance year limit (members quoted 1989, 1990 or 1991). The council asked Clerk Bondell to verify the ordinance year and to update building-permit forms to state the required age. The minutes do not record a final decision on the trailer house; follow-up was requested.
The council scheduled town Clean Up Days for May 17, May 31 and June 21 (7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) and noted that the dump cannot accept tires or refrigerators. Councilman Kyle Vennes relayed a fire-department request for a spare key to the dump; Mark Thielen said the dump uses a combination lock and questioned whether infrequent after-hours access justified providing the combination.
