Grand County approves $1.57 million in vouchers; Big Valley Construction payment cited

Kathy Henderson of the county accounting department told the board, "This week's batch of vouchers had $1,572,908 across 63 payments," and highlighted a $1,300,000 payment to Big Valley Construction for February work on the EMS station and a $141,992 annual lease for road graders. Commissioners asked a few clarifying questions about retainage and project accounting before approving the package by voice vote.
A commissioner made a formal motion referencing the batch and noted the payments cover Grand County, the Department of Human Services and the Grand County Housing Authority. The motion carried with unanimous "Aye" votes and no recorded dissent.
