Residents press county to accelerate maintenance on County Road 525, raise wider road and irrigation concerns

Rick Kramer (speaker 7) and Bill Wittenzinger (speaker 6, introduced by Kramer) asked commissioners to "expedite the repair procedure" for County Road 525 and to consider signage such as "dead end/local traffic only" because the road has not had grading or winter plowing for decades and residents are tracking mud onto Highway 40. Kramer said they will drop off a road-and-bridge maintenance request and asked for the board's support.
Daniel Agoslava (speaker 9) later spoke about conditions on County Road 60 and nearby public lands, questioned whether Road & Bridge's explanations (for example, that weeds cannot be cut because it is too dry) matched conditions on irrigated lands, and raised longstanding wildfire-mitigation concerns for a 600-acre BLM parcel near Grand Ranch. Commissioners suggested meeting with Community Development and Road & Bridge staff and encouraged residents to bring detailed paperwork to staff for follow-up.
