Alina Bell, the county finance director, told the Board of Commissioners the week's voucher batch "total[ed] $1,691,770.16 across 68 payments," with the largest disbursement a $1,100,000 payment to Big Valley Construction for January work on EMS Station 1. Bell also reported payments to the district attorney's office and to a contractor for a feasibility study and recommended releasing the batch on March 4.
Commissioner Alex moved to approve the vouchers and wire payments as presented. The board voiced assent. Bell said staff discovered an error on a check made out to Level 3 Communications and that the county will pull and reissue that check. The finance director flagged that issue for correction before payments are released.
