Principals present strategic scorecard highlighting academics, growth and community goals
Summary
Elementary, middle and high school principals presented the district Strategic Scorecard on Jan. 13, emphasizing academics, growth and sustainability, and culture and community as priorities for New Buffalo Area Schools.
Elementary Principal Melissa Lijewski, Middle School Principal Dan Caudle and High School Principal Tracy Ripley presented the New Buffalo Area Schools Strategic Scorecard at the Jan. 13 meeting. The principals outlined three priority areas: Academics (individualized learning and workforce preparation through a guaranteed and viable curriculum), Growth and Sustainability (increasing student and family populations while sustaining staff and finances), and Culture and Community (promoting belonging, respect and engagement).
The presentation noted ongoing efforts to provide individualized learning systems, maintain highly qualified staff and develop partnerships to support student success. A report accompanying the presentation was filed with the meeting materials for reference.
Board members received the report as an informational presentation; no board action on the scorecard was recorded in the meeting minutes.
