The New Buffalo Area Schools Board of Education met in a special retreat Feb. 12 to review Superintendent goals for 2024–25 and to refine the district strategic plan.
The agenda listed continuing media goals, building-level leadership development using the Studer model, and district image work as superintendent priorities. Board business included a requirement that members complete the MASB 100 series within two years of the start of their term. The board discussed breaking the strategic plan into more manageable chunks to support implementation and agreed to use a strategic scorecard with trimester reports from building principals to track academic performance.
