SWAC to let Albion member's term lapse; Pullman seat to be refreshed
Summary
The Solid Waste Advisory Committee agreed not to initiate formal removal of an inactive Albion representative, letting the volunteer term lapse at the end of 2026; Pullman representation will be restored when a current member steps down to make room for an interested city council member.

The committee noted that David Hansel of Albion has been inactive for roughly two years. Rather than pursue a formal removal through the County Commissioners, members agreed to let his volunteer term expire on Dec. 31, 2026, and to actively recruit a new Albion representative.
Separately, Nathan Weller of Pullman intends to step down to allow a Pullman City Council colleague with high interest to join the committee and restore active Pullman representation. The committee discussed outreach plans to identify replacements and maintain geographic representation on the advisory body.
