Mayor's nomination of Frank Kussmana fails 3-2; incumbent Crump remains holdover

A council member seconded the nomination. After the board voted, the presiding official announced, "The nomination is not passed. 3 to 2." The tally was read aloud and the motion failed, leaving the seat unfilled by this nomination.
The mayor invited other interested candidates to come forward and to email Randy if they wished to be considered. The meeting record shows no immediate alternate nomination or confirmation vote that would replace the incumbent holdover.
