Council keeps Edgecliff Drive parcel at RS7200 after split vote

Councilmember Gail Fleming moved to remove the westernmost parcel containing Noble Creek (parcel R32903506-4880) from the proposed rezone to RS15000; that motion failed with a 2–3 vote (two in favor, three opposed). Later, Councilmember Chris Carlson moved to remove the Edgecliff Drive rezone and retain RS7200 for the parcel; that amendment passed 3–2. The council then approved the ordinance’s second reading as amended by a 3–2 vote.
Public comment during the zoning discussion included Thomas Gill, who "spoke in favor of maintaining the current zoning at RS7200." The minutes record the parcel number R32903506-4880 and show the council split on the initial Fleming motion before approving Carlson’s amendment.
