The Chair recommended reopening the record for the Farrell application at 75 Eli Brook / Hans Creek Road to allow the building department to respond to a late letter submitted by the applicant's counsel. The Chair said the letter raised points that were not addressed during the public hearing and that input from the chief building inspector was necessary to confirm factual assertions. "I'm recommending that we leave the record open or reopen the record to get the comments from the chief building inspector regarding this memo... and I'm recommending that we leave the record open for 2 additional weeks," the Chair said.
Members agreed they needed the inspector's viewpoint to resolve inconsistencies and to address testimony given by homeowners at the hearing. The board voted to reopen the record for two weeks and asked staff to notify the building inspector to provide comment on the submitted material.
