County to seek outside counsel to update discrimination and harassment policy

County Administrator Melissa Fitch recommended that outside counsel Schoeneck & King review the county’s Discrimination/Harassment Policy and offer recommended wording. She and County Attorney Dan Martindale discussed the possibility that the County Attorney's outside counsel line may have funds to partially or fully cover the retainer.
The committee voted to forward the request to the Finance Committee so that funding and a retainer agreement can be arranged. The motion was moved by Mr. O’Brien, seconded by Mrs. Clary and Mr. Wang, and the committee adopted the motion.
