Leader Johnson told members he had been conferring with leadership about weather forecasts that show a chance of inclement conditions over the coming days and said the chamber would provide guidance on the schedule before members left or the following morning. "We do plan to, notify members and staff and all the other interested parties as to our schedule for next week," he said, adding that safety for members and staff was paramount.
At the close of business, Leader Johnson moved that the Senate stand adjourned until 8:30 a.m. Thursday next. The presiding officer called for the ayes and the Senate declared itself adjourned until the stated time.
