County Clerk Lisa Boyce proposed changes to the county's Mobile DMV schedule for 2027 to reduce travel burdens for residents in Whitehall and Cambridge and to address busy seasonal demand. She said the county currently visits Granville once a month and proposed adding stops and Thursday evening hours (until 6 PM) from May through August when motorcycle and trailer registrations and vehicle sales increase.
Boyce estimated the additional annual cost at approximately $1,000 and suggested the expense could be absorbed from the postage line rather than requiring new budget funding. The committee did not record a separate vote specifically to fund the change in these minutes; the proposal was discussed as part of the Clerk's department requests.
