County Clerk Lisa Boyce told the committee the Clerk’s Office has taken on new responsibilities—surplus monies work, transfer-on-death (Todd) deeds, and an influx of judgments—that have strained the current staffing pattern. She requested that an Archives Clerk position be reclassified to an Account Clerk in the Clerk’s Office to better meet workload needs; the committee moved the staffing-pattern change to the Personnel Committee.
Boyce also reported that DMV operations are busier than last year and that DMV revenue is projected to be approximately $60,000 above last year's numbers. She noted one staffer moved from full-time to part-time and that a part-time Senior Index Recording Clerk remains the only Sr. Index position funded by current budget constraints.
