Jeff Curtis and Stacey Baker, Board of Elections commissioners, reported the county has been notified of two 2026 grants but has not yet received the official contracts. The grants are a 2026 Election Grant for $13,278.60 and a Mail Ballot Grant for $15,378.44; commissioners said they expect the contracts by September 1. "They have not received the official contract and anticipate receiving by September 1st but have been notified of the grant amounts," Curtis said.
The committee voted to amend the 2026 budget to recognize both grants and forward the amendment to the Finance Committee. The motion to amend the budget was moved by Mr. Wang, seconded by Messrs. Herrick and O’Brien and Mrs. Clary, and was adopted. The minutes do not record a roll-call tally.
