The commission voted to open a new docket to investigate Great River Operating Company LLC for compliance with Rule 668 of the rules and regulations governing public utility service after staff identified what it described as apparent inconsistencies in the company’s data submissions.
Miss Taylor said the order authorizes the executive secretary to draft and publish a request for proposals for an independent third-party consultant to provide an unbiased expert review of the company’s records and to verify historical accuracy before delivering findings to the commission. “This investigation is being initiated because the commission has identified what appears to be some inconsistencies in some of the company's data submissions, and we want to get those clarified,” Miss Taylor said.
The commission moved, seconded, and approved the opening of the investigation by voice vote and directed staff to proceed with the RFP and independent review.
