Commission discusses shift to digital meeting packets, suggests hybrid approach

Christofferson said recent packets exceeded the City’s paper allotment and proposed a digital-first approach while offering printed large-format maps and printed packets or selected documents to any commissioner who requests them in advance. Commissioners expressed mixed preferences: some preferred paper for in-meeting review while others preferred the flexibility of digital materials. Several commissioners suggested a hybrid solution; staff was tasked to implement a workable approach.
The Commission generally agreed a mixed approach would be acceptable and directed staff to return with an implementation plan that balances cost savings and commissioners’ access needs.
