Amber Davis, program director for Kingdom Community Development Services (KCDS), told council KCDS will deliver blood‑pressure and diabetes screenings, nutrition education, produce‑prescription deliveries and maternal supports in Pryor Creek under state and federal grant funding; she said the larger Rural Health Transformation funding supports a five‑year initiative in eligible counties.
Davis said the program will partner with local organizations (library, Community Nutrition Network, OU and Cherokee Nation Health System) and use mobile units and refrigerated delivery to reach residents, including unhoused people. After questions about scope, delivery logistics and MOU length, the council voted to allow the mayor to sign the MOU and authorized staff to finalize details; the MOU as discussed is not an automatic renewal and can be terminated with 60 days' notice.
