Council excuses member, waives rules to fast‑track parks levy, then adjourns

To allow immediate consideration of the resolution, Earick moved to waive the council rule that resolutions originate in a standing committee and later moved to waive the requirement that a resolution be read on two separate occasions. Alexander Rocks seconded both waivers, and council approved them each by unanimous roll call. After the waivers, Earick moved to adopt the resolution; Rocks seconded. Following adoption, Councilman Keith Bacin moved to adjourn, Rocks seconded, and the meeting concluded at 7:41 p.m. The meeting minutes were signed by Clerk Brenda Barton and Mayor Bob Jarvis.
